Finished 7th grade / 4 week session only
We recognize that as young women grow older, personal awareness expands and a struggle for independent thinking can develop. A Viking takes on more responsibility as the decision-making process becomes more democratic, therefore makeing trip preparation more important. Campers spend one week exploring the Porcupine Mountains (in Michigan's Upper Peninsula). Acquired skills are put to the test as campers backpack along trails with panoramic views, including the famous Lake of the Clouds. This is an ideal introduction to true wilderness camping.
