Camp Hayo-Went-Ha is proud to be a member of the American Tree Farm System. Our goal is to produce a sustainable crop of trees while also improving wildlife habitats, watershed protection, outdoor education and overall aesthetics.

At Hayo-Went-Ha, we care deeply about our land, and we strive to be excellent stewards of our property. We have entered into a forest management plan beginning in 2005 which will continue for the next three decades.

After careful analysis of what currently exists "on the sloping pine hills," a plan was developed in consultation with the Antrim County Forester, the HWH Buildings and Grounds Commiitte, the HWH Camp's Board along with the input of the full time staff of Camp Hayo-Went-Ha.

Our Camp Hayo-Went-Ha foresty plan and our association with the American Tree Farm System reflects on our continued commitment to the environment in which we live.

If you have any further questions, please contact either Doug Gillespie (Buildings and Grounds Director) or Dave Martin (Camp Director).
