







The State YMCA of Michigan, established in 1894 is a not for profit 501c(3) organization incorporated in the State of Michigan. It is an independent YMCA operated under the guidance of an 18 member Board of Trustees, with Board President Brian Peters from Lansing. The State YMCA's offices are located at its Camp Hayo-Went-Ha site.

Mission Statement: The State YMCA of Michigan shall provide programs for youth, teens, and families which put Judeo-Christian principles into practice to build healthy spirits, minds, and bodies.

The Michigan Youth in Government, with offices in Quincy Michigan, is a branch of the State YMCA of Michigan. It provides programs for middle and high school students throughout the state. Programs focus on hands on learning of the state legislative process, model judiciary, leadership, public speaking, and national issues.

The YMCA provides a youth and teen center located in by downtown Petoskey. Children from grades 4th and up use the Y afterschool and on weekends.
