Camp Hayo-Went-Ha for Boys919 N. East Torch Lake Dr. An adventure for Boys Enter the world of adventure with incredible experiences you’ll remember for a lifetime. Experiences like the twang of a bow string, the flash of a paddle, sleeping under the stars or sailing on the majestic and beautiful Torch Lake. Learn why generation after generation of boys and teens continue to learn and grow through the opportunties they have at YMCA Camp Hayo-Went-Ha. Boys from grades 4-11 can participate in programs that range from overnights on camp property, hiking Isle Royale to sailing the North Channel. Programs are designed to be fun, challenging and adventurous, yet safe and age appropriate. An Adventure for Girls Camp Arbutus Hayo-Went-Ha has exciting programs for girls, 3rd-11th grade. We are located on the sloping pine hills of beautiful Arbutus Lake southeast of Traverse City, Michigan. We offer a variety of camp activities with opportunities to participate in challenging trip programs or in our extensive horseback program! Our programs provide appropriate challenges based on the age of the camper. Camp activities include swimming, canoeing, horseback riding lessons or trail rides, field sports, a variety of crafts, outdoor living skills, sailing, kayaking, archery, tennis, language, drama, dance and creative writing. Our programs are rooted in our mission of building the minds, bodies, and spirits of young people. We emphasize activities that inspire personal growth, team building, and appreciation for our natural surroundings. Hayo-Went-Ha is committed to providing a safe, fun and exciting learning environment that will make a lasting impression and improve performance in the classroom. Outdoor Education programs can be tailored to meet the needs of each school.
